Procurement software market landscape 2026
Who covers which part of the Source2Pay process – from the large suites to the AI-native startups founded since 2022. Status: October 2026.
How to read this landscape
The procurement software market now has three layers:
- Suites cover source-to-pay end to end (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer, GEP, Zycus and, for the mid-market, Onventis or Proactis). Coupa, GEP and Zycus each announced a Leader position in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites published in January 2026.
- Specialists are established best-of-breed vendors for one process step, for example Sievo for spend analytics or Icertis for contracts.
- AI-native startups, most of them founded since 2022, build on large language models and AI agents. Many of them start with one step, but promise to automate whole workflows.
The tables follow the process steps on this website. "Startup" means a young, venture-funded company; funding and acquisitions are listed only where they were publicly announced. The landscape is a selection, not a complete list, and not a recommendation.

What the landscape shows
- Agents everywhere: almost every startup founded since 2023 positions itself with AI agents rather than with a better user interface.
- Consolidation: the large vendors buy AI specialists instead of building everything themselves (Coupa: Cirtuo and Scoutbee; SpendHQ: Sligo AI; Vertice: Vendr; Workday: Evisort; Beroe: nnamu).
- Europe is strong in this space: many of the new players come from Germany, France and the Nordics, often with a focus on manufacturing and the mid-market.
